Meet the People Behind the Strategy
CHRISTOPHER ZOOK, JR.
Founder & President
CAZ Consulting was founded by Christopher Zook in 2021 with a mission to create a fearless, ethical, and smart political consultancy that supports conservative candidates up-and-down the ballot.
Upon graduating high school, Chris attended West Point where he played football. He then served as an Infantryman in the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
After completing his service, Chris began to work in conservative politics, cutting his teeth on Houston-area campaigns, working at the state and federal levels.
Chris then worked as the Political Director for Wesley Hunt’s first Congressional campaign before setting out on his own and starting CAZ Consulting in late 2021.
During CAZ’s first political cycle as a firm, Chris managed over $12 million in expenditures and 88% of the candidates CAZ supported won.
No job was ever beneath Chris. He has held every position within a political campaign, from unpaid volunteer to general consultant and everything in between. He truly understands every facet of what goes into winning at the ballot box.
Chris has deep connections in Republican circles all across Texas and has professional relationships with the best service providers and vendors in the business.

Taylor Bess
Vice President
A Houston native, Taylor has been involved in Texas politics since she was in high school. From working with the Harris County Republican Party to competitive congressional campaigns, Taylor has seen how to employ winning strategies first-hand. In addition to her experience on the campaign trail, she has a background in policy, having experience in the United States Senate, with a non-profit, and various political action committees.
Taylor graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in both Economics and Political Science. Following graduation, she accepted a position as a Senior Associate at CAZ Consulting. In this role, Taylor works directly with candidates and vendors to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive campaign is executed in the pursuit of success. Taylor excels at recruiting candidates and cultivating authentic relationships with clients from the local level to the Federal level.
With a keen insight into candidates' policy stances and the ever-changing political landscape, Taylor crafts meticulously tailored campaign plans and messaging strategies aimed at securing victory. This strategic approach combines a deep understanding of candidates' visions with clear and resonant communication, consistently contributing to successful campaign outcomes. Taylor's comprehensive skills have played a pivotal role in turning goals into tangible victories.
Cassidy Hansen
Senior Associate
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Cassidy Hansen ventured away from the Windy City’s politics to the heart of Texas, shaping her approach to the ever-evolving world of politics.
Cassidy possesses a natural talent for creating impactful narratives, successfully tailoring messaging for political candidates, PACs, and nonprofit organizations. With a sharp understanding of the dynamic media landscape, she navigates the intricacies of modern politics, ensuring that clients not only communicate effectively but command attention in the competitive landscape of modern politics.
As a communications specialist at CAZ Consulting, Cassidy skillfully manages media relations and plays a pivotal role in crafting comprehensive communication strategies. Her expertise has proven instrumental, contributing to the success of numerous electoral victories in both state and local politics.
Graduating as an Honors Fellow, Cassidy earned a BA in Communication and a minor in Journalism from Texas A&M University before launching her career at CAZ Consulting. She now resides in Houston, enjoying time with friends and family in her downtime.
